This can and does include all outside thinkers, RAB guys 'n gals, sharp dressed, cool poets and musicians, jazz lovers, bebop kats 'n kittens, hepcats, outside thinkers, those who really don't give a shite what others think, quick witted, nifty folks from all backgrounds.

This does NOT include the annoying wankers with too much money to spend and little else to do but blow it in cheesy dance clubs sporting the latest trends and repeating shite they heard on Friends or blathering about what happened on whatever crappy-assed "reality" show they watched last night.

That means that if you have the gall to utilize and misappropriate the term HIPSTER (as much as you have the word "urban") and add friggin' URBAN in front of it, GET LOST! The urban thing be so nuthin' anymore, it ain't funny and it just makes ya look like every other cargo pant advertisement out there. You're as original as a GAP commercial and twice as boring as a COLORS magazine! - SHOO! BUGGER OFF!

I'm not sure if you have heard, but the tribe that was called Star Trek: The Final Frontier has been changed to Star Trek: The Q Continuum!

Since it's recent departure to yahoo groups, I wanted a way to revive the dormant tribe and have fun too. So when I thought about what to call it, only one thing came to mind; the Q. Why not be the most powerful aliens on Star Trek (all those others are just phoneys!)

Quite ironically after deciding to take this journey I was lead to http://skepdic.com/ At first, while reading all the writings on channeling, clairvoyants, pyschics, etc. I became skeptical myself until I kept exploring this site, which is so intelligently convincing that I began questioning everything I "believe" in, everything I've experienced that is generalized as "New Age".

Astrology, Auras, Chakras, Chi, Qi Gong, Reiki, Rolfing, Acupuncture, Holistic Medicine, Feng Shui, Aromatherapy, Indigo Children, Shaminism, Sia Baba, Edgar Cayce, Deepak Chopra, Carl Jung, are just a few that are listed in this skeptic dictionary. I'll bet you will find something you strongly believe in here, each subject is researched very well, all refrenced to eachother with diverse links leading to many spectrums of perceptions.

I've learned much from this site and appluad the creator, for making such a strong commitment to deeply educating themselves and sharing this information even though their perception of their research opposes my current beliefs, it serves a purpose. To absorb and consider many facets of reality only reaffirms what I/we truly believe in, so I ask myself/you....

Have most of my "enlightening" experiences in Life been a delusion? Is everything the new paradigm aspires to be, built on fictitious hoaxes?
Or...
Has the amnesiac mind created a veil of reality denying our true inner potential? Is the "New Age" really ancient wisdom and the old paradigm is struggling to continue oppressing our awakening?

I'm about to begin a new cycle of poetry, tenatively centered around the theme of patriotism v. fanaticism, post 9/11. I'm giving myself roughly three weeks to compile something ( I always end around seven...things of varying length) and I'm offering a challenge to every involved here thus far to do the same in whatever medium you prefer.

Again, I'm striving to make this tribe both a clearing house for ideas and a place to lay to put aside any unresolved issues, fears or outgrown hopes that we all have on our journeys to advance and fulfill our our personal myths. So have fun...or catharsis. whichever comes first...
